Our Automotive Tinting Services

Ceramic Window Tinting

Ceramic film for drivers who want less glare and solar heat at the glass. Compare the chosen product’s UV, light-transmission and heat-rejection data.

Tesla Window Tinting

Expert Tesla tinting with custom templates for Model 3, S, X, and Y, including large panoramic roofs and full rear glass coverage.

Windshield Film Suitability

Windshield film is subject to Ontario visibility and inspection requirements. Discuss your vehicle and intended use before deciding; a clear-looking film is not automatically road legal.

Sunroof & Moonroof Tinting

Discuss the exact roof glass and manufacturer guidance before adding film. Roof tint is assessed separately from side-window coverage.

UV & Glare Reduction Films

Protect your skin and dash from sun damage while driving more comfortably, especially during Toronto's bright summer days.

Old Tint Removal & Reapplication

We safely remove faded, bubbling, or illegal tints and replace them with high-quality film for a clean, upgraded look.

Flawless Installation

Glass preparation, vehicle-specific templates and careful edge work are part of the installation. Fresh film needs time to dry before its final appearance can be assessed.

Window-specific suitability: Discuss the applicable Ontario visibility and inspection requirements before choosing a shade

Choose the film for the drive, not just the look

A darker window is not a complete measure of performance. Visible light transmission, usually shortened to VLT, describes how much visible light passes through. Heat rejection is a separate specification. Two films with a similar shade can behave differently in direct sun, so compare the selected ceramic film’s published data as well as its appearance.

Think about your regular driving. Night-time visibility, reversing into an unlit driveway and seeing through side glass in rain matter just as much as how the car looks parked. We install ceramic automotive film only. Tell us whether your main concern is glare, a hot cabin or matching the rear windows so the recommendation starts with the right problem.

Factory privacy glass and added tint are different

Many SUVs and trucks already have dark rear glass. That colour is part of the glazing rather than an aftermarket film. Do not assume it provides the same heat or UV performance as a particular ceramic product. Adding film over factory glass changes the combined light transmission, which should be considered window by window.

For a two-front-window appointment, send a side photo of the vehicle and mention any existing film. A visual match is not necessarily an exact numerical match, and matching dark rear glass is not a reason to ignore the visibility requirements that apply to the front windows.

What affects the installation and final quote?

The year and body style can change the job even when the model name stays the same. Small quarter windows, curved rear glass, old adhesive and large Tesla glass panels need different preparation. Include those details when asking about coverage; a package name alone does not tell us whether old film needs removing or whether roof glass is included.

Automotive work takes place by appointment at our North York shop, not in a driveway. Drivers coming from Scarborough, Vaughan, Markham or elsewhere in the GTA should confirm arrival instructions and allow for the agreed installation time before arranging pickup. Windshield, sunstrip and roof requests are assessed separately for suitability and applicable requirements.

After installation: give the adhesive time

Fresh film can look slightly hazy while installation moisture dries. Temperature, weather and the glass affect that process; it is not always finished when the car leaves the shop. Follow the pickup instructions, including the recommended 3–5 day wait before lowering the windows, and ask us before pressing on a mark or attempting to lift an edge.

Clean with a soft cloth and a film-safe cleaner once the film is ready. Avoid abrasive pads and scraping tools on the interior surface. Automotive window tinting is backed by a lifetime warranty against fading, discoloration, bubbling, and adhesive failure. Keep the written warranty and your installation record so the product and coverage are easy to identify later.

Car tint for Toronto driving, with appointments in North York

A sunny commute and a dark side street need different things

A drive along the 401 or DVP can put the sun beside you for a long stretch. Ceramic side-window film can help with that glare and solar heat, depending on the product, but the same glass still needs to work when you turn onto an unlit residential street. Tell us about night driving and underground parking as well as the look you want. Going as dark as possible is not the starting point.

If your car sits outside at work in Toronto or on a driveway in Vaughan, film can reduce incoming solar energy while it is parked. It will not keep an unattended car cool on its own. Compare the ceramic film’s performance and window-specific suitability rather than choosing a shade from a photograph.

Plan the shop visit before crossing the GTA

Coming from Scarborough, Markham or Mississauga? Confirm the coverage and whether old tint needs removing before making the trip. All automotive tinting is by appointment at our North York shop; we do not come to your home or workplace. We will agree the installation time allowance when booking so you can plan the rest of your day without relying on a guessed pickup time.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does car window tinting cost in Toronto?

Our listed automotive packages are $49 for a sunstrip subject to suitability, $99 for two front windows, and $179-$239 for the listed sedan, SUV, van and coupe coverage. We install ceramic film only. Confirm your vehicle, coverage and final quote before booking.

Is car window tinting legal in Ontario?

Ontario tint requirements depend on the window position, vehicle and applicable inspection standards. A shade such as 35%, 20% or 5% is not a guarantee of road legality. Check the current Highway Traffic Act and safety inspection requirements before installation.

What warranty applies to automotive window tint?

Automotive window tinting is backed by a lifetime warranty against fading, discoloration, bubbling, and adhesive failure.

How long does the installation take?

Most automotive tinting jobs are completed in 1-2 hours depending on the vehicle and package. All work is done by appointment at our North York shop.

Do you tint Tesla vehicles?

Yes. We have custom templates for Tesla Model 3, S, X, and Y, including large panoramic roofs and full rear glass coverage.

Does a darker ceramic tint always block more heat?

No. VLT measures visible light, not total solar heat rejection. Compare the technical data for the specific film and consider visibility before choosing a shade.

Can ceramic film go over factory-tinted rear glass?

It may be suitable, but the existing glazing, any added film and the combined light transmission need checking. Send the vehicle details and mention any previous tint.

Should I remove old film before my appointment?

Tell us about it before booking rather than peeling it yourself. Removal and adhesive cleanup affect timing and pricing, particularly on rear glass with defroster lines.
